A beautiful kitchen

Soapstone countertops without mineral oil.

To get ready for your Soapstone Counters, there needs to be some work done to prepare. While we can do all the preparation work, it is not included in the cost of installation. It takes about 8 hours to remove the old counters.

1. Existing kitchen counters need to be removed.

2. Any tile or backsplash need to be removed and the walls repaired.

Removing the existing counters is fairly simple. When care is taken the tops should come off without damaging any of the surrounding areas. In most cases, they are held in place with screws coming from inside the cabinet. It's also possible that they have an adhesive holding them in place as well.

The kitchens cabinets need to be emptied before any work can begin. This is something that should be done by the homeowner.

Any additional support required for the new soapstone counters is done by us as part of the installation process.

Any plumbing connections will have to be done by a licensed plumber after the counters have been installed. This is not part of our installation process.

If we're installing a soapstone backsplash we will install any existing electrical outlets into the backsplash. If you're adding any new outlets or moving outlets, this will require an electrician and is not part of our installation process.

Patching the drywall If we are installing a soapstone backsplash you will need to repair and prepare the area where the backsplash is going.
